The Greater Sac AAZK hosted a bake-sale and sold raffle tickets.
More photos here.
Docents and keepers at the National Zoo (DC) passed out tissue paper flowers with a mother's day card attached with information about how human mothers can help orangutan mothers by checking their grocery items for palm oil. They passed out 400 flowers in 90 minutes to mothers visiting the orangutans!
Milwaukee County Zoo had free showings of the movie GREEN, sold books, greeting cards, and rafle tickets. More photos here of their fanastic event!

Forest School 101 kids took part in the Mother’s Day Campaign. The Trillium Roots & Shoots group in Oregon, founded by Johanna & Lainie (along with their mom Kari), had a bunch of great activities!

This group put together fun interactives and displays including a big fuzzy orangutan arm measure that also gave big orange hugs. They had a "put the orangutans back in the forest" banner, sold beautiful note cards designed by the kids, and had a beautiful custom photo taking cutout, as well as plenty of awareness materials.

Allie, President of the Chico Chapter of Forest School 101, is a true orangutan champion! She has set up tables at a local eco-fair, at an endangered species fair, pioneered a letter writing campaign, held an awareness day at Sacramento Zoo with her Marigold Roots & Shoots Club...and much more!
